I would have let the dogs live in the house sooner.

If I had only known, that a slightly dirty house made visitors feel comfortable,

I would have cleaned less.

If I had only known, that letting my girls dress themselves led to feelings of self worth,

I wouldn't have stressed out so much over red socks with pink dresses.

If I had only known, that a smile really was the prettiest thing you could put on,

I wouldn't have worried so much about my hair.

If I had only known, how much my family loves a good hamburger,

I wouldn't have made them eat tofu for so many years.

If I had only known, how much fun it is to lay on that dirty carpet and play games,

I wouldn't have vacuumed so much.
